Steam Whistle - Do One Thing Really, Really Well

Savour Festival

Steam Whistle supports Savour Festival.

Our weekend celebration of food takes place in the centre of Stratford’s downtown heritage district. Along the banks of the Avon River you will discover our Farmers’ and Artisans’ Market with food stalls scattered throughout. Come hear the free music in the Bandshell with the Craft Beer and Wine Pavillion close by, offering a cash bar all day long. The Kids Tent, The Chefs Learning Tent and Culinary Stage feature tastings, demonstrations and fun activities on both Saturday and Sunday.

Wander up to our historic Market Square, closed to automobile traffic for the weekend, wandering along garden plots featuring heritage vegetables, a display of heritage animals, and antique and vintage tractors. In Market Square on Saturday, you will find The taste of Ontario Artisan Alley: New for 2013 is an afternoon of testing and tasting some of Ontario’s newest VQA wines, up-and-coming craft beers, including cask beers, exclusive varieties of cheese by Ontario artisans and Dillon’s Small Batch Distillers. On Saturday night, the tents are transformed into the The Perth County Hoot! party. On Sunday afternoon the tents in Market Square are transformed again into the signature Savour Stratford Tasting garden party with 30 chefs paired with 30 producers to create an elegant afternoon of sampling and savouring creative menus made with local, seasonal foods.

Please note: No pets (other than Working Dogs) are allowed in any of the food venues.
On-site food vendors have been certified by the Perth District Health Unit.
