Steam Whistle - Do One Thing Really, Really Well

Geography (June Art Show)

What significance can be found in the space between Point A and Point B?

Steam Whistle Brewing has been supporting the artist community since 2000 by hosting monthly art exhibitions in their Gallery to showcase local creative talent. The June art exhibit titled “Geography” and is a concept left deliberately vague, to be interpreted as pleased by disparate artists who range from pop culture specialists to painters working on a purely visceral level. It is a concept dealing with maps, travel, and the removal of oneself from Point A - whether a physical or metaphysical journey. What and where is Point B? Geography is an exploration of natural curiosity by 4 young artists. Nimit Malavia, Martha Chan, Dave Murray and Irma Kniivila who graduated from Sheridan College's Illustration program in 2009. Each has since diverged down paths encompassing the fine art, design, comics, music and fashion industries.

The Opening Night Party will take place on Tuesday June 5th 2012 from 7-11pm at Steam Whistle Brewing at 255 Bremner Blvd or visit the brewery during all of June to see the exhibition.
