Sweet Stuffed Chicken Breast - with Steam Whistle Pilsner barbeque sauce
This recipe was submitted by Cathy Moreau, a current student at Liaison College, Barrie, Ontario. She is enrolled in the Cook Basic Level 1 Program, and has owned and operated her own Fish & Chip Truck for several years. Cathy is expanding her culinary knowledge so she can further accomplish her career goals.
Mix the ingredients for the Steam Whistle BBQ sauce and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes - till it thickens.
Cook the chicken breast: when cooked, cut an opening in the middle and stuff with cream cheese, jalapeno peppers and Steam Whistle BBQ sauce. Top the chicken with sauce and serve.
Steam Whistle Pilsner barbeque sauce:
- 0.5 cup (125 ml) salsa sauce
- 0.5 cup (125 ml) maple syrup
- 0.5 cup (125 ml) minced onions
- 2/3 cup (150 ml) Steam Whistle Pilsner
- 3 tbsp (45 ml) mustard
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- dash of lemon juice
- 1 Chicken Breast
