The History Of Steam Whistle’s Bottle Openers
The 2017 edition opener, which has the signature Hudson’s Bay Company stripes on one side and the Steam Whistle logo on the other, was designed to commemorate Canada’s 150th birthday.
Our pry-off bottle cap provides a superior seal, ensuring our Pilsner tastes as fresh as the day it left the Brewery. A bottle cap chosen – not for convenience – but for a better drinking experience.
While this non-twist bottle helps elevate the quality of Steam Whistle Pilsner, it might add some inconvenience to drinkers who have to locate an opener to get at their favourite brew. To answer this need, we launched the In-case Opener in 2005 as a ‘thank you’ to our customers, and have brought the feature back annually, ever since. Brewery fans and beer memorabilia collectors eagerly await this signal of summer, when we unveil the latest year’s original design.
The 2017 edition opener, which has the signature Hudson’s Bay Company stripes on one side and the Steam Whistle logo on the other, was designed to commemorate Canada’s 150th birthday. The opener is offered compliments of the brewery to Canadians to encourage a birthday toast, as beer is truly Canada’s national drink.
The opener is part of a limited-edition co-branded barware collection available this summer, while supplies last.
