Roundhouse Winter Craft Beer Festival returns to downtown Toronto

TORONTO, Ont. (November 26, 2018) — It takes a hearty soul to brave a Canadian winter, and an even heartier one to celebrate it.  

But if you are going to celebrate the snow and cold temperatures, you may as well do it with uniquely Canadian craft beers. Get out the hats and mitts, put on your puffy winter coat and slide on some boots — on January 26th, the Roundhouse Craft Beer Festival returns to downtown Toronto with more than 40 Ontario craft brewers on showcase.

“Raising a frosty mug in the heart of a cold Canadian winter surrounded by friends is like bringing a beer commercial to life,” says Tim McLaughlin, Vice-President of Marketing at Steam Whistle Brewing, host of the festival. “Ontario craft brewers are creating some incredible beers. Bringing them together in one venue is a great opportunity for beer lovers to discover something new, and revisit some old favourites.”

With the amazing cityscape of downtown Toronto providing the backdrop, the Roundhouse Winter Craft Beer Festival will only showcase beers from breweries that are independently owned and brew in smaller batches using artisanal styles and all-natural, undiluted quality ingredients. 

The festival will also feature a host of the city’s best food trucks, open fires, marshmallow roasting, games and DJ Music fuelling the Ice Floor Dance Party. 

Tickets for the Winter Craft Beer Festival go on sale December 4, with the first 100 buyers entered to win a Steam Whistle merchandise pack. The first 500 people to arrive at Roundhouse Park will also receive a free toque.
