Raising a Stein to 5 Years: Steam Whistle’s Five-Year Service Award

One of the ways we do this is through our Five-Year Service Award. To honour staff who have been with us for five years, we send them on an unforgettable, all-expenses-paid trip to Europe.

Now, this isn’t your average company perk. The trip is designed as a true cultural immersion into the world of beer, with stops that connect directly to Steam Whistle’s roots and passion for pilsner:  

• Pilsen, Czechia – the birthplace of the pilsner-style of beer and inspiration for Steam Whistle’s one-and-only specialty. 
• Prague, Czechia – a city rich with brewing history, culture, and tradition. 
• Munich, Germany – home to Oktoberfest, the world’s largest beer festival and a celebration of centuries of brewing excellence. 

And the best part? The Good Beer Folks are there right now! Our five-year honourees are raising steins in Munich, wandering the cobblestone streets of Prague, and experiencing firsthand the heritage that inspires every batch of Steam Whistle Pilsner brewed back home. 

For us, this award is more than a thank you, it’s a chance for our team to connect deeply with the traditions and culture that shaped the very beer we pour today.
