What beers do you brew?
We proudly brew our signature Steam Whistle Pilsner, a classic Czech-style lager known for its crisp finish and golden hue. We do one thing, really, really well!
Where can I buy Steam Whistle beer?
You can find Steam Whistle at the LCBO, The Beer Store, select grocery stores and convenience stores. Find pints available at bars and restaurants across Canada.
Are your beers available outside of Ontario?
Yes! While we’re proudly brewed in Toronto, you can find us in various provinces across Canada.
Is Steam Whistle beer vegan and/or gluten-free?
Our beers are vegan-friendly, we don’t use any animal products in brewing or filtration. However, they are not gluten-free as they are brewed with traditional barley and hops.
What ingredients do you use in your beer?
We brew using only four all-natural ingredients: pure spring water, malted barley, hops, and yeast. Yep – that’s it.
How should I store and serve your beer?
Keep your beer refrigerated and out of direct sunlight. We recommend serving our Pilsner between 4–7°C in a clean, chilled glass.
Do you offer non-alcoholic options?
We are currently focused on brewing our quality alcoholic Pilsner, but we are always exploring new ideas! However, at our Roundhouse Taproom and Kitchen, we have plenty of non-alcoholic options for all.
Where is the Steam Whistle Brewery located?
We are located in downtown Toronto at the historic Roundhouse Park – just south of the CN Tower at 255 Bremner Blvd.
What are your hours of operation?
Our hours vary slightly by season and for events, for our most up to date hours, check our Google Page and social media channels.

Do I need a reservation to visit?
Reservations are encouraged for large groups, lunch or dinner in our Steam Whistle Kitchen or if you would like to book a tour! Please note, we do not take reservations three hours before home Baseball Games.

Absolutely – come by for a pint in the Taproom or a bite to eat at the Steam Whistle Kitchen!
Is there parking nearby?
Yes, there is paid parking available at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and surrounding lots. We’re also just a short walk from Union Station and accessible by TTC.
Is the brewery wheelchair accessible?
Yes, our facilities are fully wheelchair accessible, including washrooms and entrances.
Can I bring my dog?
Good pups that are leashed are welcome on our patio and in the Taproom. They are not permitted inside the Steam Whistle unless they are service animals.
What is the history of the Roundhouse?
The John Street Roundhouse was built in 1929 to service Canadian Pacific steam locomotives and is now a designated heritage building. It’s one of the last remaining roundhouses in Canada and we are proud to call it home.
Are there tours available of the Roundhouse?
Yes! Our brewery tours include insights into the building’s heritage and its role in Toronto’s railway past. You can also visit the Railway Museum on-site for more in-depth history. We recommend booking ahead online to guarantee your spot, especially on weekends. Walk-ins are welcome if space allows.
Can I book the brewery/event space for a private event?
Absolutely! We offer a variety of event spaces perfect for weddings, corporate gatherings and more.
