Canada's Premium Beer
We believe the honor of being Canada’s Premium Beer lives in the hearts and minds of Canadian beer drinkers. After 20 years of focusing on that goal we see
Steam Whistle as the natural fit, here’s why:
Unlike many “premium” beers, we brew using only pure spring water, malted barley, hops and yeast. Without corn syrup or preservatives, just high-quality Pilsner – beer can't be made any better.
Process and Ingredient Comparison
|Steam Whistle Pilsner||Most “premium” beers - domestic and import|
|Pure spring water from Canadian Springs||Chemically treated municipal water*|
|100% choice Canadian malted barley||Rice, corn syrup, adjunct|
|Finest European Hops||Inexpensive hop varietals|
|Long aged for natural carbonation||Artificial carbonation|
|Traditional small batch brewed||Industrial high gravity brewed|
|Cold filtered, non-pasteurized||Heat pasteurized, chemical preservatives|
*Even organic beers produced in Canada use municipal water
Canada's Green(est) Bottle
The style and sophistication of a green European import bottle, but brewed fresh right here in Canada. Our bottle doesn’t just look great, it is made with 30% more glass meaning it can be reused up to three times longer than the industry standard brown bottle. Like European import beers, we use a pry off cap that provides a superior seal ensuring your beer tastes as fresh as the day it left the Roundhouse.
Consistency You Can Count On
We have spent 20 years perfecting our Pilsner and we back that experience with one of the most sophisticated Quality Assurance programs in North America. When you reach for a Steam Whistle, you can be confident you are getting an exceptional beer, every time.
An Authentic Canadian Success Story
What started as a fireside dream hatched by “The Three Fired Guys” has turned into one of Canada’s most successful breweries. We still retain our entrepreneurial spirit, remain fiercely independent and truly Canadian.
Our Cathedral of Beer
The Roundhouse, or as we like to call it The Cathedral of Beer, is home to our staff, affectionately know as Good Beer Folks. Whether you visit us at our home or take part in one of the hundreds of community events we sponsor, you’ll be greeted with a smile and a hearty “cheers”.
