Between City Folk Festival and the Ottawa Blues Fest, The host of the 46th annual JUNO awards is no stranger to music fests.

Babylon Nightclub

From hip hop to Mod and everywhere between The Babylon features a selection of diverse programming that has something for everyone. Check out some of the upcoming acts they’re hosting for JUNOFest.

Birdman Sound 

Another argument for shopping independent, Birdman Sound is known as a treasure amongst those in the know. Known as “purveyors of fine music” their selection is lovingly curated featuring a diverse range of genres. This is the store you will find your hard to find, niche vinyl for fair prices. The owner John is a wealth of knowledge and hugely impactful in the Ottawa scene – from running Friday Morning Cartunes on CKCU FM and even running a Birdman stage for years at Ottawa Bluesfest.

Lucky Ron at the Lafayette

Lucky Ron is a local legend and has even been given the order of Ottawa. One of the hardest working performers in Ottawa, he’s been performing at the Lafayette since 1999 and never missed a show since!

Mercury Lounge

A self-proclaimed 21st century soul club: The Mercury Lounge has been a mecca for the arts in Canada’s capital city of Ottawa, since its inception in November 1996. Its programming purports a musical vision steeped in the traditions of jazz, nu-jazz, house & live music.
