Steam Whistle has been supporting the cycling community for the better part of a decade. There is nothing better than a single cold, refreshing, tasty beer at the end of a race or a tough workout on a hot summer’s day. There seems a natural affinity between the cycling community and craft beer. People who ride bikes are concerned about a healthy lifestyle, about minimizing their ecological footprint and are often very community-focused people. Those are all the traits of Steam Whistle Brewing – as an independent business, known for our exception green manufacturing practices, for being a social enterprise and making an all-natural beer.

The idea behind these stations came from our Niagara sales rep and bike enthusiast Adrian Pennachetti who sent us some information about the Urban Racks bike repair stations and it just seemed like a natural fit to put one outside our front doors. The Environmental Committee found room in its budget and we installed one in August 2013. Since then we have found homes for 30 bike repair stations and have 10 more stations coming soon.

Our intention behind these stations is to keep as many people out on 2 wheels moving as we can with more Steam Whistle bike repair Stations’ handy DIY repairs. We are  happy to take recommendations from the public for future locations– you can send them to [email protected].
