Music

james barker band

James Barker Band leads the line-up of talented artists at Denim on the Diamond this year, and it’s easy to see why. With the Juno Album of the Year and the CCMA Single of the Year under their belts, this Canadian group is making waves and taking names.

Madeline Merlo’s sassy but soft singles incredibly catchy, and she’s not any easier to forget. You don’t get nominated three times for CCMA Female Artist of the Year for nothing, and Madeline Merlo is making it stick with five Top 15 singles in her back pocket. This BC native will be singing her heart out at Denim on the Diamond, and it’s your chance to see a budding superstar live.

Three other named and highly anticipated groups will also be performing, with more to come! Leaving Thomas, The Harpoonist & The Axe Murderer, Lucky Monkey and a DJ will all be making sweet, sweet music for you to groove to in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Not too shabby at all.

Games

Feel like you’re kicking back in a backyard BBQ with 3,000 friends thanks to rousing, oversized games like cornhole, bocce ball, spikeball, jumbo Jenga, and much more. There will be some highly coveted prizes given away from top companies, so make sure you save the sipping for after you win your sweetheart something special.

Food & Drink

Denim on the Diamond wouldn’t be anything without their legendary food and drink menu! Come one, come all for a taste of some of Okanagan’s favourite food trucks and treats. Drink up from the finest breweries, wineries, and cideries in BC and Canada, because local sure tastes lovely. Plus, the stadium license means you can walk around freely with your drink—no beer tents, beer gardens, or drinking sections required. Now that’s living life right.

It’s almost time to get your finest denim out and pick your comfiest lawn chair, because this year’s Denim on the Diamond is one for the books. Make sure you get tickets before they sell out and be sure to include #denimonthediamond on any posts or photos so that you don’t miss any of the action (after all, if people don’t know you were there did it even happen?). This Labour Day weekend will be one to remember in the beautiful Okanagan, so get ready now because this one-day festival will soon be the stuff of dreams.
