March Break 2019 is going to be epic if you live in or around Toronto. The 6 is bursting with a bevy of amazing things to see and do for kids of all ages. Of course, with all this choice comes an element of indecision. Too much time debating what to do can result in you doing a whole lot of nothing. March Break comes but once a year, break buddies, so don’t let it be spoiled by choice.

Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) March Break

March 11, 2019 – March 15, 2019

Cost: Varies.

This one’s for parents who can’t take the week off and aren’t sure what to do with their bairn this March Break 2019. Drop them at the ROM for non-stop March Break fun, with a wee bit of learning snuck in there for good measure. The ROM offers full and half day programs for kids 5 – 14 years old, and offers an 8 am early drop off.

Of course, the ROM is also open and packed with March Break 2019 programming for the whole family, so stop in. The ROM is open daily.

March Break Mystery at Black Creek Pioneer Village

March 11, 2019 – March 17, 2019

Cost: Free for kids under 14.

As participants in past Black Creek Pioneer Village beer fests, we’ve come to know and love this Toronto treasure! Known for their authentic and ingenious programming for people of all ages, they definitely don’t disappoint this March Break 2019. Kids can play detective and solve a mystery as they explore the village. We’re talking cracking codes and clue hunting. We’re talking attending Dr. Watson’s Detective School. We’re talking interrogating the villagers. It’s good times for all —  oh, and it’s FREE for kids 14 and under.

While in the Village, you can also take a traditional Black Creek Pioneer Village wagon ride and get a taste of the sweet stuff at the Maple Syrup Show.

REGALIA, Native Pride

January 21, 2019 – March 31, 2019

Cost: Free for guests of CN Tower or 360 restaurant.

Located in the new observation level of the CN Tower, REGALIA, Native Pride is a striking glimpse into the native world view. This exhibition is free to guests of the CN Tower and 360 Restaurant, so you, your date, your family (or whoever) can soak in the city from the vantage of this iconic landmark, while also revelling in the masterpieces of this remarkable photo exhibit. The focus: the stories of men, women and children from 14 First Nations, as told through the ceremony of powwow and the rich vibrancy of traditional culture.

March Break at the Metro Toronto Zoo

Cost: $23 or FREE for members.

There’s always something going on at the Zoo, and March Break 2019 is no exception. Swing on by to see all your favourite animals, and the new arrivals, like Charlie, the baby gorilla and Penelope, the baby endangered Pygmy Hippo. With fun and educational events every single day of the week, the Metro Toronto Zoo is the place to be this March Break.

Lakeridge Ski Resort

If you’re looking for the best outdoor fun March Break 2019 has to offer, then bust out your Steam Whistle snowsuit and head on out to Lakeridge Ski Resort. Just 45 minutes north of Toronto in the breathtaking Oak Ridges Moraine, Lakeridge offers al fresco frolicking for the whole family. We’re talking ski and snowboard lessons, a winter treasure hunt, snow tubing and an indoor bouldering wall and games room when you need a break from the white stuff. Day camps are available for the kiddos too!

St. Paddy’s at the Roundhouse
